Short & Sweet!
I am going to try to do short posts, and do them more often. We'll see how that works. Thank you for your many thoughts, prayers, & kind words to me. Mom and I are better from our bout with bronchitis. Right after that was over, things really got super busy! I didn't get on FB, Xanga, or WordPress much due to the business and just not feeling like blogging. So now I have ammo for more blogs ... and will see how short ones go for me.
We have had a piano recital, some grand-parenting time, meetings (and minutes & reports), entertaining & being entertained, doctor visits, tests, and so much more!
So true to my goal, I'm going to stretch out the pics over many blogs! Here is a collage of the piano recital in which Tristen our oldest (now looking towards 4th grade this fall) played a couple of song for her part. We were so proud of how well she has practiced, and how well she played with such great poise. :-)
UNTIL TOMORROW . . .

Were you nervous? I always got nervous during recitals, hoping my kids or grandkis wouldn't make any mistakes. Glad she did will. Brogan looks happy, and Quinn is adorable.
I wasn't nervous. I've been to several of her recitals, and she is always so confident, poised, and plays her songs perfectly. When I was her age and played or did anything solo, I was a nervous wreck. Thanks for your kind comments.
Tristen has really good posture at the piano! Glad she played well and that all the little ones managed to behave! I remember the days of trying to get the little ones to sit still and be quiet! Kudo to all the adults for maintaining control!!
Thanks, Val. My son and his wife are so good at maintaining control. I too remember those days of trying to get kids to behave ... both mine and the Kindergartners I used to teach!
Hi Carolyn, Glad to hear that you and your mom are recovered.
Thanks, Lynn.
Wow! Tristen is growing up so fast! It seems like the older I get, the more quickly the time goes! Life is like a roll of toilet paper.... it is used up more quickly at the end of the roll. Hee hee! I am hoping to be better to post on Xanga, too. I have not been around much, but would like to get better.
I know what you mean about the older I get (as well) the quicker the time goes. I love your t.p. quote!
I'm coming over to read your new post and see your pictures!
sweet photos
Thanks, Jill.
Glad you and Mom are feeling better.
I got nervous just watching my sun run in track meets in school! lol
Loved your photos.
I am visiting my perfect single daughter in So. California.

I enjoyed the pics of your precious family!
Happy Father's Day to your wonderful hubby!

Thanks, Carolyn. I hope your wonderful hubby had a wonderful Father's Day too ... along with his super wonderful wife! HUGS!

Oh sweet friend, I haven't been ill, but honestly, I haven't had the desire to blog, either. Life here has been quite challenging and I just haven't had words to share. Maybe I should ease back into it with short posts, like you're doing. I hope you'll be posting on WordPress, or at least be able to see mine when I do, since I can no longer post here on Xanga unless I pay, which I simply can't do right now.
I'm so glad to hear that you, and your sweet mom, are doing better, Carolyn. I've had bronchitis myself, and I know it took quite awhile for me to recover, as well. I had no energy for anything!
Your photos bring to mind the many recitals we would go to when Ian was younger and still homeschooling ... he wasn't in them, but our friends were. We all enjoyed it when they invited us along to watch them play the piano, and their violins. Ian had more interest in the acoustic guitar ... he took lessons, but there were no recitals offered from where he took them. After he got older and went to California, he seemed to lose interest. I've always loved playing piano (but only by ear) and wish I lived closer to a good friend who gives lessons ... it's on my list of things I'd like to do someday.
Well, I'll look forward to your next 'short and sweet' post! You have a blessed weekend, my friend, and maybe you'll see something 'short and sweet' from me soon, too! ((Hugs))
I'm not sure if you will come here to see this comment, so I shall send it to you by FB messaging, and/or your WordPress account. I miss you. Hope you will blog soon, because you are a wonderful blogger. HUGS.... & you'll hear from me later today.
Good idea , Carolyn, to make blogs, short but more frequent .
