  • A BLESSED EASTER TO ALL!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Easter, and that the message of Easter is real to everyone.

Saturday, I had a special day with my friend Tess. She and I consider each other as sisters. happy We started out our day with having a yummy Chinese meal, then headed to an Oriental grocery store to purchase some items we needed, and then before heading home, we went to our Christian book store, where we saw some of our other friends from church.  Of course I had to purchase one of my favorite coffee drinks: Almond Joy!

I've met so many wonderful people here on Xanga since I began blogging back on Nov., 2005. Many I have continued to keep up with on Facebook, and a few more I have talked to by phone, and a few more, I've also had the privilege of meeting in person.
I thought I would introduce you to a beautiful young woman who recently got married, and who will be visiting with Tess and me this week (April 1-4)! They were married in the Philippines, but Joe had set it up so people around the world (whom he invited to watch it) could "be right there" at the wedding!! It was special to hear them say their vows, and see the venue, etc. (There were problems with the video portion.) Here is a picture I swiped from FB.

Here is another Facebook "steal" of the grandkids from today at the Easter party with their Mom's family.

I'll be visiting you around on your Xanga blogs... see you throughout the week.

The following song is one of the songs that our choir sang (the back up to the soloist)... it has a tremendous message!

  • :) Happy Resurrection Day, Carolyn!

  • It was so good to read here again, Carolyn! So sweet to have a friend like Tess to share with ... and who doesn't like Chinese food!! Yum!! Wish I could have seen the picture/video of Joe's wedding, but somehow it didn't show up! :( I remember those Easter egg hunts too! Cute pictures!

I have missed blogging on Xanga, and made a lot of friends, too! Have to say, I did start another one over on Blogger awhile back, that I do like better ... much easier to use, and free, too! No ads, either! Still, I consider Xanga my 'home' ... it was where it all began online for me in September 2006!! I know it's still Christmas over there on my page, and I really need to change that .. still we've had one long winter and I suppose the snowy look fit right in! lol! ! You have a blessed week, and I hope to see you here again soon! Blessings, my friend!! :)

  • @proudmom87 -  Thanks, Chris. I hope you had a wonderful day, too. It's good to be back on Xanga. I will be over to see you once I get my student busy on some independent school work!

@Threads_of_Faith -  I only posted the picture of Christine & Joe; I didn't post a video of them. So you didn't miss anything. I will need to go over to your blog on Blogger? If I don't see it on your site, would you please send me the link? Thanks. Looking forward to keeping up with your blog again.

  • Hope you had a Happy Easter!
That grocery store looks like a great place to explore and it's so bright and colorful. I like the fish tank, it looks like fancy goldfish swimming in it.
There is an Almond Joy coffee creamer that you can get at some grocery stores, you might want to look for it to have the treat at home, too.
The grandkids look as if they are having fun with their egg hunt. When we had them when I was little, my sister used to always find more eggs than I.

  • @jkhsquonk -  Hi Jackie. Thanks for coming by and commenting, and thank you for the heads up on the Almond Joy coffee creamer, too. I am coming over to visit you now, too.

  • What a lovely bride! Looks like you had a wonderful time shopping. All those choices. I think the middle of the night is a good time to browse Xanga, especially when you've been woken up by something and are wide awake!

Love that last song! So glad we serve a risen Lord. Hope your week is wonderful and thanks for stopping by!

  • Your entire entry tells us the joy of Easter, Carolyn . I feel it with your images at the shopping .
. So many friends around and among them this young just married friend.
And this young children ? Who are they ?
I celebrated also Easter and before the entire HolyWeek . Comforting.

  • @mcbery -
Thanks! It is a busy week, but a good one! Yes, I love that song, too. This morning I was awakened by the bright sun streaming through the window, and the song:"Arise, My Love" running through my mind. I love Easter! Thanks for stopping by to see me!

  • Yes, Michel... I had meant to share (still may in my next blog) about the service that I attended on Good Friday... so very meaningful! I do love Easter! Such blessed hope!
The two children are my two grandchildren. The girl Tristen Rose is age 8-1/2, and her brother Brogan Glenn is age 2-1/2. They will soon be joined by a new baby sister in June. Her name will be Quinn Mae. WE LOVE OUR GRANDCHILDREN!!
Thank you for stopping by to see me.
Blessings to you and your wife.
    Love,
    Carolyn

  • Amen! God speed, ~ Pete

  • RYC : Thanks for your visit Carolyn. You make me happy .
I watch the pictures above with always much pleasure . So much freshness !.
I hope all is alright for you and your family.

    Love

    Michel

  • Loved readying your post. I somehow missed it, but saw a recommendation. Yes, Happy Easter--He did Pay it all--Thank God!!! The older I get (79) the more wicked I feel I was!!! I sure need Jesus and His death for me---and His amazing resurrection.

Cute photos and bride. They are a lovely looking couple. I married my high school sweetheart 57 years ago. I was 17 when I first saw her and I was stunned by her beauty.

Hope all is going well for you.

  • @fauquet -  Hi Michel, I'm glad that I am able to make you happy. My family is doing well. I just posted again; I hadn't realized it had been a whole month since I'd posted. I trust that you and Janine are doing well. I am thanking God for her good mammogram she had.

    @HUMOR_ME_NOW -
Frank .. I love that you have such a sweet relationship with your beautiful bride of 57 years! Sounds like you were highschool sweethearts!

  • @JusticeMom - Yes, we dated for 5 years, went to Proms, and got married. She dumped me for Marty before we married, but then wanted me back 4 months later. She loved him and he was a very nice guy, but she married me.

    frank

  • @HUMOR_ME_NOW -
YAY!!! YOU WON!!!! (And so did she!)

  • @Evangelist_Guy -  So good to see you over here. I hadn't posted in a month, although I had stopped by to see you. I'm on my way over to visit again. Blessings!
