Just Making a Quickie Appearance . . .
It's been a LONG time since I last blogged. I am looking towards SPRING & to retiring from teaching this year, and to having more time to do other things that I enjoy starting this summer. I do miss blogging, and I have met so many wonderful people on Xanga, and so I hope to reconnect with those of you who are still here and are willing to reconnect with me. With many of my Xanga-made friends, I have been able to continue keeping up by means of Facebook. The main things I will share to catch you up on my life is: 1. One year ago, January 26th, my precious Dad went Home to be with his Savior Whom he so faithfully served throughout his life. 2. Our son came home from serving his year in Afghanistan with the Army National Guard (his 3rd deployment), and 3. He and his wife are now expecting their third child (& our third grand) -sometime in June!

Today I have been meditating upon God's plans and direction in the lives of His children. I thought I would share these precious verses with my friends.
Jeremiah 29:11, 13, 14-a “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. . . If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord.
Jeremiah 10:23 I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Psalm 37:23-24 The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
Psalm 138:8-a The Lord will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.
Psalm 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.

Looking forward to catching up soon!

Welcome back to Xanga. Love the verses you posted. We are expecting 3 great grand-babies this year. One in May, one in Aug. and one in Sept.
@ata_grandma - - Thank you, and congratulations! What an exciting time for you two and the parents-to-be!
Thanks for the excellent teaching. My life has been a mess lately and I am no handling it well.
Sorry to hear about your loss, but He is with Jesus now.
I hope all our military can come home soon.
Nice to hear from you.

@HUMOR_ME_NOW - -- Thank you, Frank. I take great comfort and joy with knowing that I will see my Dad again someday. I am so sorry to hear that things aren't going well with you. I shall pray for you now. I am curious how you came to know that I was on Xanga. I did see that you also are a friend of Gracia (Ata Grandma). If you would like to be friends, I'm willing. (Weren't we before?) You have "Friend Lock" enabled, so I wasn't able to return visit to you. Thank you for your gracious welcome back to Xanga, and again ... I shall pray that things will go better for you. ~ Carolyn
@JusticeMom - HI Carolyn, I was so sure that I knew you, but maybe not other than we have mutual Christina friends. I sent you a Friend's request. My post is sometimes edgy. I am trying to influence those who used to go to church and some that are kind of religious---not active church members.
Anyway, I sure need prayer now. I have always handled stress well, but not this time. My being upset is very upsetting to my wife. lol'

@HUMOR_ME_NOW - Hi Frank, I think that we may have talked to each other on the site of our mutual Christian friends. I just read your last two posts. I too am trying to have a good influence in the lives of those with whom I come into contact. That was what my primary motivation was for getting on both Facebook and Xanga. I do understand that stress can be difficult to deal with for the spouse, and if you are used to dealing with it. Back in 1995, my husband had been very sick, and was prescribed too many antibiotics by physicians at an Urgent Care facility. This caused a chemical reaction in the brain that brought about bipolar. It was a very scary and stressful time, but together with the Lord as our guide, and good medical help and counsel, we came through it stronger than ever. I say all of that to let you know that I can understand the upset you are dealing with, and shall pray for my new Christian friend Frank (& your wife). God bless you both as you are in the process of dealing with these situations now. ~ Carolyn
I know how losing a Dad feels. Mine was gone for a year in December. Nice to hear from you again. If I don't stop by it's probably because I have too many friends who blog a lot and those who don't get 'hidden' on the third or fourth page.
You can always stop by and remind me. Love your choice of verses. May God send you a wonderful Sunday.
@JusticeMom - Only one of the couples is married. We pray a lot.
@JusticeMom - Thanks for your prayers, Carolyn. My stomach is mush---a new expereince for me. lol
Have a blessed Lord's day.

@mcbery - I am looking forward to coming over to see what adventures you have been up to lately. Thanks for your comments.
@ata_grandma - I understand. We cannot pray enough for the children and grandchildren to whom God has entrusted into our families.
@HUMOR_ME_NOW - Today was a blessing. Hope you had a blessed Lord's Day, too, Frank.
Welcome back! And so happy to hear you will be a grandma again. I have four "homegrown" grandchildren and three Danish ones who kind of adopted us! My oldest daughter is also blessing us with another some time in August. I love being a grandma, but it is hard when it has to be long distance. So glad your son is home! Will he be staying stateside now?
This is a kind surprise to see you again, Carolyn .
Welcome back on Xanga .with the news of your life and your meditation .
I am honored with your visit .
Love
Michel.
@DanishDoll - Thanks for the welcome back, Mae. Congratulations on your having another grandchild on the way, too! It is such a blessing to have grandchildren. I am hoping to see them a little more often once I retire. While mine aren't as far away as yours, I don't get to see them very often due to the distance for me to drive combined with my working schedule, etc. Shaun would love to be able to remain stateside, but he is in the National Guard (about six years to retirement), and if he is deployed again, he will have to go. I am hoping and praying that he won't get deployed again.
@fauquet - Thank you for your kind welcome back, Michel. It is truly special to be able to visit with my dear blogging friends here on Xanga. I am looking forward to reading more of your stories. <3
Love your post. It is a comfort to know that our dads are safely home. Thanks for stopping in. We had an exhausting winter. Seems like it never slows down. What a relief to have loved ones home from the service. Glad for their sacrifices for our country!
@HUMOR_ME_NOW -
Hi Frank ~ I was wondering how things are going for you physically ... results of tests? You didn't mention it in your last several posts. It's good to see you back again after taking a brief break. Did you enjoy the time with your daughter? Overall from reading your posts, it looks like you and your wife are doing well. I love your Rusty... cute dog! Praying for you now. Carolyn
@JusticeMom - Hi Carolyn, I am doing better today. For the first time in my life I am dealing with emotions---new for me. I will not see the doc until my next visit which wiill be farily soon.
I took a break from posting to calm down. I feel pressure posting. I am really trying to infuence those who used to go to church rather than being a dedicated Christian site trying to minister to the lost or church goeres. I have had nice Christians understandably quite my site because of what I share. I am pleased that some are reading their Bibles again and a few tried church.
My wife and I are doing OK. She has a very strong personality and I am passive. She is very smart and loves The Lord, but she is the boss and does an excellent job running the house.
I sure hope you are doing fine.

@HUMOR_ME_NOW - HI Frank, Please keep me up on how things go with the doctor visit. I am praying that all goes well. There is nothing wrong with taking a break ... especially if it stresses you to post. My hubby and I are doing well... we will have been married for 37 years this July, and are so blessed. You and your wife have had a long marriage, which is such a blessing and testimony in itself.
Blessings to you both ... Carolyn
@JusticeMom - I saw my Hawaiian doctor today and he said I was fine except for a very personal problem which is easily treatable.
Thanks for your prayers.
