MISCELLANY
Today's blog is a miscellany of photos and quotes.
The first set is to show how our weather has been changing this week. First two pictures show Monday night's sleet sparkling on the car, snow, and lamppost. By Tuesday late morning, much of the snow had melted due to the bright sun, and some warmer weather (like in the 30's)! The birds were chirping even!
Can you see the bird nest? The second set is supper that I fixed tonight: salad and two types of quiche.
The third set is of the grandkids.
Tristen advanced to her brown belt last week; Brogan & his dad called and talked with us Tuesday ... telling us about the games that he plays on computers, etc.; and Quinn has been learning about "big-people" foods: blueberries, eggs, and chocolate! The fourth set is for laughs. :-D
And the last is for encouragement. Be blessed my friends! :-) HUGS!

A lovely post! I haven't made quiche in a long time - maybe this weekend will be the time! I like a spinach, ham, and onion combination.. The grand kids are getting so grown up. And finally Leo Buscaglia is one of my heros - a man who promoted a hug a day.
Yummy combo, Val! I usually do spinach and bacon, or broccoli and ham, but since I had thawed out some turkey I decided to change things up a bit.
Mom isn't a huge cooked spinach or turkey fan, but she liked that quiche better than the other (and she is a mixed veggie fan) ... go figure!
I actually didn't know Leo B., but I am a huge fan of hugs and showing caring by smiling, listening, and touch.
I agree, lovely post. We are hearing rain this morning. I think I just saw lightning in the west! Oh, my!
Sounds like yummy food to me! I think I should have chocolate with my coffee. I have some and I think I should use it!
Hugs and blessings on your day too!
Thanks. We haven't had rain yet, but it has been predicted. It's 59! (Heat wave ... lol) Choco w/coffee sounds delightful. HUGS!
your quiche pics are making me hungry!
That's fair! Your nature (esp. the bird) pictures make me hungry for the adventure!
Your grandchildren are getting so big! The quiche looks wonderful. It is so true that we don't often realize the impact we can have on people with just some kindness expressed.
Yes, they are .... as are yours, Mae! Just think ... when we began our friendship I was just a new grandma to Tristen, and neither of your girls were married yet! God has blessed us both! You have impacted many by your kindnesses to those whom you meet -- both in person and on line (people like me, even.)
Good Morning, Carolyn. Love you photos tour.
We really need some lousy weather out here--it is way to nice.
I have to count calories--since I was 40, but your food looks great.
We now have great grand kids--my wife could not be happier.
Love the medical jokes. I have been going all of my life. It is a miracle that I am 80 and still enjoying life.

I enjoy medical humor (when I get it)! Glad you enjoyed it.
And anytime you want some yucky weather, just pray it over your way!
Blessings to you my friend! <3
yes, just a smile is so healing.
And that is what your smiles do for folks, Jill.
Many times, I'm sure that as a nurse, you saw that to be true.
About the first set the change is on the good direction and the birds and drivers are happu
Tristen as I already said is gifted in many wat and the baby of the third set is really cute.
A so touching photo to illustrate the beautiful quote.

Yes, Michel, the change in weather this week is for the better!
Thank you for your sweet comments about my grand"babies" ... they

I always thought a lot of Leo B. Wish I coulda' given him a hug before he died!

Love and HUGS!!!
The Other Carolyn
I am glad that you enjoyed the post, Carolyn dear.

Sometimes I just want to post something that is
easy to write and illustrate with pictures. The
medical humor was fun... I have had lots of medical
people in my family, so am used to that humor.
I definitely have had a good day! One of my former
students and I met for "coffee" & conversation. <3
It is great to have a namesake that one loves: YOU!
Love and hugs from your friend, the other Carolyn
p.s. Have a most wonderful evening!
Sweet pictures of the grandkids.
I laughed at the comics too.
Thanks, Lynn. . . and I'm glad that you enjoyed the comics.
Nice pictures. Your grandchildren are so sweet.
Thanks, Gracia.
Aren't grands the best!
I like the second of the third set. Adorable kids.
Thank you, John. I'm pretty much in love with them.
I love quiche. Love the photos. Except for small mounds of snow, most of it is gone from here now. But I hear that we should expect some on Monday.
I love that quiche is such an easy thing to make, . . . so many different ways, and it is so delicious!!
We still have those mounds of snow, too. However, the past few days of above freezing weather has been
spoiling me! We had some flurries today, but none that stuck. Hopefully that will be the case on Monday for
you (& for us, since we usually get your stuff)!
Happy Sunday
Hope it's sunny!
With a bunch of funny
Thrown in!
